Then you could be a candidate for our Junior Consultant (JC) Programme!
Junior Consultants are recent graduates or experienced professionals who support our project activities as short-term experts for 3 or 6 months. JCs are working on specific tasks according to their competence profile for the duration of their stay and receive support from our project managers. A structured introduction, mid-term and final evaluation ensure a fruitful mission for both the JCs and our team.
Requirements are:
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study; Master’s degree preferred
- Demonstrated interest/work experience in microfinance, financial education, financial inclusion and/ or development finance
- Fluency in English (Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda) or French (Burundi) is a must; working knowledge in the other language is preferred; knowledge of German or the national languages can be an advantage
- High degrees of motivation and energy
- Ability to work autonomously, with high degrees of responsibility and little supervision
- Respect for diversity and the ability to work in international, multilingual teams
- Work experience in the development sector, banking or with international NGOs is an advantage
